Balanced Diet Chart | Ways to Maintain a Balanced Healthy Diet

Balanced Diet Chart | Ways to Maintain a Balanced Healthy Diet

Today i want to discuss about a very important topic of our day to day life. That's balanced diet. Various

diseases are happen in our body due to improper diet & regimen. Today's 21st century's health problems which makes all peoples troublesome such like diabetes, obesity, hypertension, cancer etc; are causes due to bad food habit & in other side in some slumareas & village areas, peoples are suffering from nutritional deficiency disease due to poor nutrition, improper intake of healthy food.

What is Balanced Diet?

It is a diet that contains a variety of foods, in such quantities and proportions that the need for energy and all the nutrients(proteins, fats, carbohydrates, vitamins and minerals)is adequately met for maintaining health, vitality and general well-being for a person, including a small provision for extra nutrients to withstand the needs in future emergencies such as leanness.
The requirements for a healthy diet can be met from a variety of plant based & animal based foods, although a non-animal source of vitamin B12 is needed for those following a vegetarian diet. A healthy diet supports energy needs and provides for human nutrition without exposure to toxicity or excessive weight gain from consuming more calories than the body requires. A healthy diet, in addition to exercise, may lower disease risks, such as obesity, heart disease, type 2 diabetes, hypertension & cancer.
In constructing a balanced diet, the following principle should be adopted.
(1)Protein requirement should be 15 to 20 % of daily intake.
(2)Fat requirement should be 20 to 30 %
(3)Remaining food energy should be constituted by carbohydrates.
So every patient should take a proper advice from his/her Consultant Doctor and should take a Balanced Diet according to his/her disease condition. Thank you.
